  An association cannot generate rhythm where none exists. It cannot force enthusiasm. It cannot manufacture ownership. But it can amplify the sound already rising from the churches. The future of Baptist cooperation depends less on finding the perfect structure and more on cultivating the kind of shared convictions that naturally draw churches together. We need pastors who cast compelling visions, churches who look beyond their own walls, and believers who understand that cooperation is an expression of Christian fellowship.

      Our work is to strengthen the bonds of trust and shared mission that have sustained Baptist work. That work is slower than forming a strong chain of command. It is less glamorous from a secular perspective. It requires patience and persistence. But it also honors the dignity of the local church.
